Photography and Editing
I started photographing with my first DSLR in 1998, and currently, I am mainly using Canon EOS R and Canon D80 DSLRs. I am an experienced and passionate photographer, artist and nature lover, for whom the mood and emotions that an image evokes in the viewer are the most important things for me in the shooting and post-processing of the images. I am familiar with Photoshop, Lightroom and Luminar software applications and I am continuously developing my technical skills also in Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro and 3D programs such as Blender, Brush-Z. I prefer to photograph portraits, animals, events, landscapes, but also close-ups, cityscapes and architecture. I am offering outdoor photo shootings and photo editing services as a freelancer, and also offer my photos on Eyem and Adobe Stock. You can find a rather outdated portfolio of my work at my old Jimdo page and a lot of my photography can still be seen on Gurushots.

Digital Art and AI-Art
I began with casting acrylic on canvas, pencil drawings and digital drawings in 2019 and began to feature some of my artwork on the print-on-demand platforms Redbubble and on Artstation. In August 2022, I heard about the possibility of creating images using artificial intelligence, known as AI-generated art. I became curious and fascinated by this new way of creating amazing images based on individual text inputs, the so called prompts. Immediately I started to explore Midjourney, Nightcafe and Disco Diffusion generators with great enthusiasm and lots of fun. Of course, the AI generated images results are mostly not perfect which means a lot of trial and error time as well. However, to get the best out of the AI results I always edit each photo in Photoshop regarding color, image errors, pixel errors, depth, sharpness, light and shadows, upscaling and so on. After these corrections my pictures are ready for an upload to my social media profiles to show them to other people interested in my AI-art. I also offer my images as prints on various products on Redbubble, as well as posters, canvas prints and metal prints on Artstation.

Music & Beat Production
Music was always my passion. Grown up in a musician family, I have learned to play recorder and guitar early in my childhood, and I have been very curious about any other instruments to play, e.g. accordion. I had drumming lessons in Berlin, and I was also the singer of a punk band where I gained first stage experience in the early 90ties. Oh gosh, what amazing times! I also improvised on stages in Berlin and Kassel at free flow festivals and jam sessions as a singer, or playing a bit drums, piano, synths, bass, guitar, recorder, alto-flute on the stage.

In the 2010s I became interested in DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) and tried a free trial of FL-Studio, but didn’t pursue it any further. Later, in 2019 I experimented with some mobile apps and started uploading my first beats to the Soundcloud platform. Finally, I bought the desktop software Ableton Live in 2020, set up a small home studio and started producing music.

I am now a producer of electronic EDM deep dance chill pop music and lofi/hip hop beats. One says, my music is characterized above all by catchy melodies, uplifting vibrations and positive energy. I will leave that to you to find out.

I produced my first songs Sputnika and So pure in March 2021, Butterfly followed in April 2021, Afterglow (Lofi-Instrumental) was released in May 2021. Another version of So pure (instrumental) was released. My latest song “I feel you” was released in May 2022. Please note, my stage name is Salo Gwyn on all streaming platforms. I produce my music as Casselfornia Beats and present my self-made music videos on Youtube as Casselfornia Beats – Salo Gwyn.
